You are watching: Battlestar galactica miniseries part 1 online free
First off, you’ll need to decide which version you want to watch. Battlestar Galactica has a long, storied history that began back in 1978. Wanting to take advantage of the Star Wars craze, the show centered itself in outer space on board the Galactica, a battleship that survived an attack from Cylons during their war with their enemy. The series initially starred Lorne Greene (Bonanza) as Commander Adama, Dirk Benedict as Lieutenant Starbuck, and Richard Hatch as Captain Apollo. It lasted one season but it left a lasting imprint on the collective imaginations.
Since the end of the original series, Battlestar Galactica has seen numerous series reboots, a few movies and even webisodes. Watching Battlestar Galactica for free is easy via a streaming service and we are here to show you just where you can find them. All this, of course, will be leading up to the new Battlestar Galactica series that the streaming service Peacock (from NBC) will be rolling out in 2021.

The Newest Battlestar Galactica
All this is meant to get fans excited about the upcoming reboot. Unfortunately, you will need a subscription to the new Peacock network from NBCUniversal and you won’t be able to watch this Battlestar Galactica free. A $4.99 plan which is has ads or an ad-free plan for $9.99 a month.
The newest reboot, also being called Battlestar Galactica, is being brought to the Peacock by Michael Lesslie, who will create, write and executive produce the new series. Lesslie is well-known for being the lead writer and showrunner on AMC’s hit spy series The Little Drummer Girl. He also wrote scripts for the movies Macbeth and Assassin’s Creed.
Another producer, Sam Esmail, offered a hint of what fans can expect in what he says won’t be a traditional episodic format. “There might be episodes that are longer than others. There might be a three-episode arc. There might be a standalone episode that’s a half-hour long. We don’t want to put guardrails up at all. We want to do whatever’s best for each episode. And because I do believe in the episode model, I maybe share the frustration some critics have when showrunners go on an say ‘Well, it’s a 10-hour movie.’ That’s silly. It’s not. What we’re doing here is every episode you have the opportunity to change up the tone, to change up the story, to change up the point of view. So we’re going to lean into that, not shy away from it.”
